As a no-longer-newbie user (i.e. after some weeks) you want to configure
and install your custom kernel anyway. Hey, on a 770 this shouldn't take
longer than 10 minutes.

You can do that with the Linux kernel in general. Just dd it to a floppy
and boot off it. No miracle, and no invention by RH. Not to blame their
considerable achievements, though.

Look on sunsite for all HOWTOs containing "NT". There are
some, mainly /pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/mini/Linux+NT-Loader and
/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/unmaintained/mini/Linux+WinNT. Haven't tried it,
no NT user. *shudder*

It has. Get XFree86 3.3.2.
