Re[2]: 560x v. 600

     Yes - I've done such a thing to my brother-in-law's TP560 (P133, TFT).

A caveat though: Not all SO-DIMMS are equal. In the beginning,
we pulled my 64 MB SO-DIMM (bought from the ChipMerchant) from
my 760XL and stuck it into the 560. It works. So, he orders the
same part from ChipMerchant. The new SO-DIMM arrives and DOESN'T
work in his 560. He calls up ChipMerchant and they fire off a new
one right away. Same story, it doesn't work. This time, just
for fun, we stick it into my 760 and it does work. So, my
brother-in-law got my old SO-DIMM and I got the new one.

I suppose I should look up the chips to see if there are any
differences, although that won't tell me if the SIMM cards
     themselves are the same.

     Mitchell
ps: kudos to the ChipMerchant for being so helpful with us.

Mitchell, are you *saying* you can do this, or are you *asking* whether
this can be done?

I'd be curious to know the answer to this one myself. I've come to
think
that maybe 48 MB isn't enough.
