When I replace the pads on my 701, I've used either rubbing alcohol or windex,
on a papertowl, and it gets the stuff off okay.  I like cleaning it, and applying
the new feet to a clean surface so they stay on longer.

You really do want to get flammed, don't you?  Especially since I'm on break now.
(I'd hate to see the flames Solaris can create too with the ISDN modem on it).
