Yes. Switched from 340 to 1.2 last year. It was a clean reload, using Ghost. It worked perfectly! (I didn't do it myself; I watched while one of the system managers at Stanford did it for me). It was easy. It took about one hour, plus some preparation. We lost nothing. Doing a clean reload, however, will take up a little more space in your new harddrive because the space (I don't remember the technical term) expands somewhat. D. L.
