There's some contradictory information on IBM's web pages
regarding the graphics chipset in the (fabulous!) new TP 600;
some pages list it as the Trident CYBER 9397, while others
list it as the (dreaded!) NeoMagic 2160.
So I called IBM. The direct word from The Horse's Mouth is:
Trident CYBER 9397
(the Help Person assured me that she was looking at the
official IBM internal docs, not just their web page).
That's GREAT news for anyone who runs Linux / XFree86,
since the Trident chip is supported, whereas NeoMagic
refuses to publish the specs on their chips and so it
cannot be supported in XFree86.
Cheers, Joseph
