For use with Hardware CineMaster C
The Hardware CineMaster C is capable of playback at any VGA resolution from
640x480 to 1600x1280, limited only by the VGA display card's capabilities.
If you see a "Current display mode not suitable for DVD Video"
message in the DVD Player window check the following tips:
- Make sure no other application is using video capabilites in Windows. Only
one application at a time can use the "overlay mixer" used by the
DVD Player.
- If your monitor refresh rate is set to higher than 85 Hz you might not get
a video image on the monitor depending on your graphics card capabilities. Try
lowering the refresh rate.
Some card does work with CineMaster in higher refresh rates. Optimal rates
are 100 Hz for PAL and 120 Hz for NTSC since these are the original TV
refresh rates times two. Odd refresh rates will enhance the interlace flicker.
- If lowering the refresh rate makes no difference, try lowering the color
depth to 16-bit color if you are using 32-bit color.
- If you are using Windows 2000 your video driver might not support
Macrovision. For example the included TNT-driver does not support this.
Download the latest driver from the manufacturer. In the case of a TNT card,
go to www.nvidia.com.
- Is the internal VMI cable between the CineMaster card and
the video card connected? This cable is included with the Hardware CineMaster C. If
you don't have such a cable read this document for
help.
