Leaving the door off, exposes the interior to dust and whatever else
crawls in there. I use the *windowed* cover. It covers most of the
opening, leaving just enough room for your cards and still allows you
pop out the XJack without any difficulty! The cover also makes it
cosmetically more appealing! ;) I tell you Randy, the attention to
small details says a lot for the 750c designers!!

This I'm not sure. I would think that if the modem was plugged in,
without it being loaded via Config.sys...wouldn't use any extra power. I
think that if the modem drivers are loaded, power drainage would be the
same, regardless if the modem is in use or dormant!

The other day I started to time the battery with the modem active
(drivers loaded), I had to take off, but I had it going for at least 2
hours. I'm trying to get the info to Sean, but I'm not quite finished. I
wonder how many responses Sean received?!
