Does the IBM SCSI PCMCIA card work with HP Scanget 3P?

Hi,

HP are of the opinion that the PCMCIA SCSI card from IBM isn't
compatible with their HP Scanget 3P scanner.

Considering both support ASPI and other SCSI standards I find this
difficult to believe.

Does anyone on the maling list have a definitive answer on this by any
chance?
