one other *realy* annoyin characteristic of the 755CD is having to remove
the CD-ROM to change the battery.

Some other notes: the batteries install differently on the 755CE/CD/CX than
on previous thinkpads, use the blue ribbon to pull BACK, not UP. I already
pulled a ribbon completely out of a Lithium Ion battery finding this out
(IBM replaced it by next day air, good for them!)

You *can* install WARP from the internal CD ROM and internal diskette,
despite statements to the contrary in the dodcumentation shipped with
the 755CD. In my CX, I got a little booklet

that covers all the models, and in particular has a specific procedure
for installing Warp from the internal CD ROM with an internal diskette.
