ThinkPad FAQ? (was Re: Admin: tp701 in group)

At one time I wanted to restrict the discussion to a small set of 
thinkpad models so that we would have higher signal-to-noise ratio
and less confusion.  But there have been several new ThinkPad models 
since then, and people's interests are less likely to be confined
to one particular set of machines.

Besides, ther eare other ways to avoid confusion than having separate 
lists for each class of ThinkPad.

Would anyone like to work on a general ThinkPad FAQ that listed
the various models and the differences between them?  We could use
that as a resource to help people keep things straight when discussing
how to get something to work on a particular machine.

If we had such an FAQ, a pan-ThinkPad group might be workable.
