        Undoubtedly a mistake.  Right in the back "legal" pages of the
manual for the 560, it says in big black ink "Warranty Period:  One Year".

        Believe me, I wish it were otherwise.

        Even 2 years would be quite good (I always thought 3 years was a
little overly-generous, but it does show a tremendous vote of confidence in
the quality/durability of the machines on IBM's part.  Of course, the
ThinkPad 7XX series tends to be fairly over-priced, so undoubtedly you're
paying for that warranty!).
