RE: Has Anyone Ever External Midi'd a 755CD



Thanks for the advice. I have WinJammer (eval), and even with the Audio
Control set properly, I couldn't get anything to go out to the MIDI port.
However, thanks to your advice, I was able to turn on MIDI port input in
Audio Control, and surprisingly enough, I was able to read the keyboard into
WinJammer. So, that must mean the drivers and most of the hardware actually
works. I am now focusing on hardware problems with the cable or motherboard
for just the MIDI out circuit. Maybe a broken wire or bad solder connect. So
much for quality control. The fact that IBM supplies no diagnostic for the
MIDI/Gameport sure causes major difficulties in diagnosing these problems.
There is still a remote chance that there is some obscure resource conflict
in the drivers, but I am almost to the point of rejecting that since there
are no error messages anywhere.
