REQ: Need 256 colors at 640X480 on a TP350C

Does anyone now the secret of how to get VGA 256 color activated
on an IBM Thinkpad 350C?

The IBM WWW site doesn't show that model (it's about 3 years old) and
none of 256 color drivers I've tried seem to work. The only thing I
can determine about the video is that the configuration utility shows
the video controller to be a CT-65530 with 512 KB of memory. That is
enough for 256 colors at 640 x 480, but where is a driver that will
make it work?
