The machine still doesn't shut down after displaying the "please wait while your computer shuts down" message. trying the ctrl-alt-del also fails to power down the machine. My network card is the Megahertz XJEM3336 model which I purchased a month ago so I believe I have the lastest drivers. I seem to have another problem-the welcome screen message should cover the whole screen but now I get a 5"x4" welcome message with a black border instead of the usual large 9x6 one.
