Warp 4 on 365X ThinkPad

OK Gang I am just about at my wits end. First off, has anyone
had any luck installing Warp 4 (aka Merlin) on an IBM ThinkPad
365X. This is the one without the CD Rom drive. I am not having
much luck on this end. I have created the remote install disks,
but it apparently doesn't see the PCMCIA 3COM ethernet card. It
goes through the boot up and when it gets to the point "if no
ELIII card detected will time out in 10 seconds". Then the
machine stops, the drive a light still on, and I have to do a
hard reset to gain control of the machine once again.
At someones suggestion I downloaded the OBI files from IBM, but I
guess they only work with an attached CD drive. Also in the
bootup disks a README.INS says that for the 365ED to insert as
the first BASEDEV statement a line giving new parameters. Did
that with the same result. Am I missing something here?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I have had this machine
now for 3 weeks and thus far it is nothing more than a $2000 game
boy.
BTW this is a machine with boot manager and Win95. The ethernet
card works with Win95 so I know it is not the card itself. To
save bandwidth you may E-mail me directly.
