TP701 value (was: Anyone dealt with D'Vegro Computers?)

His prices are somewhere between private sales and the IBM outlet
store; this seems reasonable placement to me.
For a while Micro Warehouse was selling refurbed 701c/75mhz/540
machines for$999; the catch was that they only gave a 90 day warrantee.
D'vegro gives the full warrantee, which IMHO is the single most
valuable part of the 701.
It is awfully hard to put a true value on the 701, because it is so
unique; it is adequate for almost anything people use laptop computers
for, and it is one of only 2 machines I know (the small HP subnotes
being the other) which fit fully on commuter plane tray tables:-) Form
factor is what kept the Tandy 100 portables on the market so much
longer than the technology would have suggested.
I've just cut a deal with IBM to replace my 701 with a 560; it was a
very difficult decision to make, despite the probably market value of
the latter being twice that of the former, because of the form factor
and warrantee.
