You read the list as much as I do--it seems that lots of people have had trouble making these things work with other SCSI devices. When I was toying with the thought of getting a portable SCSI CD-ROM, I was almost lamenting the fact that I had purchased a SCSI card when it seemed that I could have gotten one included with a CD-ROM drive.
