Good news is that being in a place like L.A. has its benefits--someone
like IBM *has* to have an authorized repair center in a place like this.
Anyway, I'm about 2 to 3 miles from downtown and an IBM-authorized repair
center. I was able to fax them a copy of my receipt and give them my
serial number over the phone so they could order the keyboard in advance
and I wouldn't have to be without my machine. Two days later (today) they
called to tell me the replacement keyboard had arrived. I brought my 560
in and they fixed it in an hour while I waited.
Not bad!
