Hello,
I am in the process of replacing my 540mb HD with a 1080mb HD in my
TP365ED. It is a DBOA-2540 Travelstar Drive (2.5 inch drive that is
12.5mm high). The 365ED does not use a caddy so it is a bare drive.
I chuckled when I looked at the IBM Direct price list and see that the
540mb HD is about $200 more than the 1080mb one. Does this mean that
I can sell mine for half what IBM wants for a new one. ($315?) 8->. I
realize that you pay for having a high capacity drive in a small
footprint but I would expect a new 540 drive to sell for around $275
if a new 1080 is $450.
If all goes well I will be putting it on the market next week.
Now that I have my own 365ED instead of just supporting the companies
750cs I am really glad I subscribed to the list.
