IBM and most other retailers just suck when it comes to caps. Three seems to last me a year. At least I get tired of the worn out one every few months. Getting replacements just sucks. Tip, if you send your machine to EZserv, take your cap off, they will most likely put a new one on (but you didn;t hear that from me). I have been told that WinBook and Tosh caps work well, but neither have the cats-tounge. Frankly I like the feel of the roughness. I don;t care for the pure gum ones, I feel like there's snot on the cap. I have been on an endless search for caps locally, none of the IBM authorized retail or computer superstores seem to have ANY caps of any variety. The do however have EVERY freaking accesory known to man for laptops, except for the caps. They could charge double and I would still buy them just to avoid the hassle of ordering and waiting. Just my two bits.
