Disassembling a 701CS

Hello,

The speaker in a friend's 701 sounds like it either died or
got unplugged (is this possible ?). I am looking for information
on whether I can open the case, locate and replace/fix the speaker
myself. Has anyone here done this ? Is there any information (for
example diagrams) on the net ? 
I will greatly appreciate any pointers.
