Well, you don't want to throw it around like a football, but I think its
perfectly fine. The 560 is lighter by about 1/2 pound than the 701. I
consider the 701 more vulnerable than the 560, given the folding keyboard
(I guess I should mention that I own both--my wife inherited the 701 when I
got the 560).
I have a small piece of plastic that broke off on the left hinge. Why?
My own stupidity. Basically, you should treat all computers with a certain
degree of care, and I had a habit of throwing this into a backpack full of
other crap. I have since gotten a special backpack with a padded carring
area for a notebook machine--and I really like it (no problems--its ideal).
