I recently bought a Shark Avatar with a PC Card cable, which I think is possible. The problem I've run into is that if the MultiPort is on the back of the computer, a PCMCIA modem in the other slot, the computer won't read the drive card in the first slot. I've called Shark about this and while concerned about it, can't figure it out. IBM doesn't know for sure, but thinks it may be a problem of resources.
