Hi,
As I'm about to enjoy the benefits of a big (21GB) hard disk on my TP701C,
I'd like to install Linux on it (in addition to Warp, my current OS of
choice). Since there are so many distributions available (Red Hat, Debian,
SlackWare, Caldera etc.), I'd be most grateful if fellow TP701/Linux users
could make recommandations with compatibility issues and easy installation
in mind.
I have a 3COM Etherlink PCMCIA adapter (3C589B), an Adaptec SlimSCSI card
(APA-1460A) and an Iomega JAZ drive. I'd appreciate an automatic
installation routine that recognizes my hardware as much as possible and I
especially want it to deal easily with X-Window, which is the main area I
plan to use. I don't mind paying a reasonable price for the convenience.
Thanks,
Dominique
