Please let me know which is the best PCMCIA modem for this unit. I am trying to go 56kFlex and have tried the Actiontec 56kFlex modem. It is flaky in that I cannot get reliable connections except up to 24-26K and cannot connect at flex rates. Also, when I undock from the Multiport connector and run it undocked, I loose my modem setup. The modem will only seem to work at com3, and only when docked. Can you please share your experience on getting the 701 to work with PC card modems, and if I am doing something wrong. I run Win95, ver 950a. I am about to return the Actiontec modem and order the new Motorola MobileSURFER...it just got announced but is not in the stores yet. I don't really want to run any x2 modems since my provider just installed flex and probably will not have any x2 capability. Thanks for any ideas.
