Ouch... incredible... I paid something like $300 for mine less than a year or so and found it useless for what I intended it for (convenient way to use a scsi cd-rom with my 755cx)... I've seen them in the $100 range after that but now it's gotten ridiculous. One disadvantage of the Dock 1 vs. port replicator: the dock has a fan, so it makes noise whenever you use it. I really like quiet when I'm working and am even trying to figure out how to configure my software so I can spin my disk down most of the time (storing files on a pcmcia flash card, etc.).
