At least Compaq can run MSDOS out of the box.  As I recall the Vectras,
they ran CPM-86 OK, but spoke a very strange dialect of DOS (even
wierder than the one the Sanyos ran).

BTW, a friend had an HP of about the same vintage; the keyboard had two
little perpendicular wheels for fast and precise cursor control - worked
great, but seems to have totally disappeared as a concept until the
recent introduction of a single wheel on the new MS mice.
