With some recorders the requirement is that the combination of card, driver, os,etc has to be smooth enough to deliver the data in a steady stream for half an hour without any interruptions.... ie there's no flow control or pause button allowed. Nicer recorders (more expensive) have an internal hard drive. You load the data onto that, then it can record directly off its own stored image. -Don Perley
