I like the Micron solution as well (also the TI Travelmate
swing-in door), but remember that the Microns are 8 pound,
very thick machines. A TP560-sized version would be pretty
flimsy itself.

As for the hinges, I've not had a problem yet, and I think
that if they *were* to break it would simply mean getting
a new cover, probably less than $10.
