No this is completely different, HST worked. All the 56k stuff is flakey
beyond belief. Yes I know, but I always connect at 53k etc., check and you
will likely find out that lasts about 3 nanoseconds before renegotiating to
a MUCH lower rate, often below 28.8k.
After three X2 ISP with 46k connections all the time I have yet to have
better than 3.6k/sec file throughput (on a compressed file) day or night.
Want to hear a funny one, my current ISP, which I actually like and plan to
stay with, Net Wizards, has a download test file of 5 MB. Man its a groove
to watch the download rates on that file. Unfortunately it is ALL BLANK,
and compressed to 17k on my system (smallest file size I have).
