RE: Problem with startup of 560



1.  Disable hibernation via the powerswitch if its enabled.  If enabled it 
replaces power cycling with hibernation.

2.   Is it the Windoze hourglass or the IBM BIOS hourglass?  To get it, 
press F1 at boot, so you can run the diagnostics etc... there is a way to 
reset the hardware settings, but i forget.  Best to call TP Support.

3.  Are you at the latest BIOS revision?  Go to the IBM TP support pages to 
find out.

4.  You might want to try the PowerToys and KernelToy utilities from MS to 
figure out your system.  One in particular is TweakUI.  It is a control 
panel applette that allows you to get boot choices and function keys at 
boot (Normal, Safe-Mode, Cmd prompt only, logged etc...).  Its good under 
95 and supposedly NT-Intel.  (Thanks Dave Ross for pointing me to it).
