Subject: Toshiba HD in 755C
I am looking at a replacement hard drive for a 755C. I've heard alot
about using Toshiba drives instead of IBM ones.
What is involved? Is it a drop in replacement (I would have the caddie
from my old 540MB to use)?
Where can I get a caddie?
Does the hard drive password still work with a Toshiba drive?
Finally, someone said something about bridging or cutting pins on a
Toshiba drive to get it to work. Is that necessary?
I haven't bought the drive yet but I know a local store that has some used
ones so I'm looking into it.
Thanks
