I've used a non-xjack modem in the past with no problems.  I have
found out though, 3Com, etal just don't seem to market the non-xjack
modems - hard to find them in stores or on the web. Matter of fact, I
have never see one in any of the stores around here. Did find a couple
of refs to the CC1560 on DejaNews.

If I use the bottom slot on my 701C, the dongle on the CDROM card in
the top slot will interfere with it. Don't use the CDROM al the time,
so maybe I'll just have to not use it when on line. Or maybe I'll have
to order (if possible), the CC1560 directly from 3Com and pay list
price. <ugh>
