RE: 701c modem and battery

I have identical problems. I had the battery replaced by EasyServ a
while ago but to no avail. It's demonstrating the same symptoms. I
recently upgraded to Win95B but no change. The battery life indicator
on the taskbar has the same problems as the Fn key. EasyServ believed
the circuitry to be bad in the ThinkPad versus a bad battery. I only
get about an hour maximum out of the battery (NiMH), and it is less than
a year old. I'm not a power-user, so the battery shouldn't be worn out.
I just use it when my wife wants the desktop (since alleviated with the
acquisition of a second desktop). My 701cs goes back to IBM this week.
