Same here, but under OS/2 Warp.  I will never put Window on my computer
again.  But anyways, I distinctly remember one time it went from 63% to 0% (this
is the 3rd or so battery, before that battery warranty expired), or sometimes it would
go from 100 to 0 like you said, but if I kept the machine busy (moving the mouse), or
typing, it would last like 45 minutes or something like that.

I like a PCMCIA modem better, though.  A few times I had to resort to a 2500
or 9600bps external, and before that, an IBM PCMCIA 2400 (slow, but very reliable).
