I've recently come across a used Thinkpad 510C up for sale at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, the price is reasonable due to the fact that it has some missing and or broken parts. The computer itself is in working condition, but I would have to replace the AC adapter, external diskette drive and possible the port replicator. I'm considering buying this unit as a backup for my Thinkpad 701C, but from what I can find on the IBM parts page, replacing these pieces at the factory price would quickly render this computer a not so great deal. Therefore my question is for any of you out there with experience with the TP500/510C: are parts for this unit available on the used/surplus market?
