I just subscribed to this list so please forgive me if this
has been covered before. I have had a Thinkpad 365CSD for
about two years and finally decided I was sick of the tiny
keyboard and eraser pointer thingy when I was just using the
thing at home. I got a mouse, PS/2 keyboard and thinkpad
mouse/keyboard adapter (some generic brand). When I hooked it
up, the mouse works fine, but the computer doesn't seem to
recognize the keyboard. Should it just work transparently, or
do I need to install some driver or something? I am running
Windows 95. There is one sentence in the owner's manual
stating that a PS-2 keyboard can be used with the adapter, but
there is no more information.
You have to get a mouse/keyboard adapter made specifically for the
Thinkpad. It looks like a simple Y cable, but I think it may have
some electronics inside. It costs around $25 :-((((.
