Re: EZServe turn around time?

> Anyways I was wondering what the turnaround time is on service like this

Usually: (shipping time) + 1/2 day + (waiting for parts [if required])

For most people, the third seems to be the biggest issue. For me (in Hawaii),
(1) is usually the killer (G** D** FEDEX!)

Anything you don't need to boot and reproduce the problem, remove. Also, remove
the trackpoint cap - if they're in a good mood, they'll give you a new one.

Best to have it boot in W95 or DOS or OS/2.

Incidentally, with my TP701 I used to yank the HD before sending it in. This is
impossible with the 560, so when I used service last time I had a heck of a time
removing private stuff (credit card numbers, passwords files/login scripts, etc).
Since then I've discovered a great freeware W95 encryption program, which I can't
recommend highly enough for effortless encryption of a small number of files
(or while subdirectories): called 'coded drag', at http://www.fim.uni-linz.ac.at
