RE: [TP560] Can't start in 'safe' mode (W95)



Have you tried HWDIAG.EXE which is on the OSR2 release of Win95 (NOT the 
one that comes with TP's).  It should show device conflicts etc...its under 
the misc directory I think..I found it on the Win95/MSPlus Pack CD.
Have you made multiple configurations of your HW?
for example...

HWConfig1: Just base OS & drivers for system (default factory config)
Current: HWConfig1 + devices like modem/Ethernet + IR (No Serial)
Extra: HWConfig1 + CD-ROM/PCMCIA combo + Serial (No IR)

There is a practical limit here, I think it only goes up to 4 or 5 total 
configurations...also watch your BIOS settings, they will have to match the 
HW configs, note the IR/Serial above.
