Have you tried HWDIAG.EXE which is on the OSR2 release of Win95 (NOT the one that comes with TP's). It should show device conflicts etc...its under the misc directory I think..I found it on the Win95/MSPlus Pack CD. Have you made multiple configurations of your HW? for example... HWConfig1: Just base OS & drivers for system (default factory config) Current: HWConfig1 + devices like modem/Ethernet + IR (No Serial) Extra: HWConfig1 + CD-ROM/PCMCIA combo + Serial (No IR) There is a practical limit here, I think it only goes up to 4 or 5 total configurations...also watch your BIOS settings, they will have to match the HW configs, note the IR/Serial above.
