I'd suggest a search at www.uvision.com or www.computeresp.com for
the battery. I haven't seen them coming down any, always hovering at
$229 or so new. Probably due to the new models using the same battery,
afaik. I got my 2nd the old fashioned way - I bought two 560s :-) I've
heard that it's bad for the chemicals to let them overheat, so I tend
to remove mine or unplug the laptop once charged despite the fact it's
probably not charging anymore.
I've also read on some of the battery sites that it's better for
the battery to store in a cool place while fully charged - the
chemicals can lose their effectiveness if they sit around uncharged a
long time. My drill is to rotate the two at least once a week.
