I have this problem too, but haven't really tried to fix it.
A couple of possible solutions might be

1 - to remove the footpads, clean the attachment sites and footpads,
    and reapply the footpads with a stronger glue.

2 - to remove the footpads and replace them with small footpads you can
    buy in a hardware store.  You could get, say, 1/2" square, 1/8" tall
    footpads, and perhaps the extra adhesive area would help them stay
    put.

A third, if the items in (2) couldn't be found, would be

3 - to remove the footpads, find some kind of sheet rubber in the desired
    thickness (eg old truck inner tubes), cut squares of the desired size,
    and attach them with some strong adhesive.
