As an organization that refurbishes donated computers for non-profits, we come
into frequent contact with most of the manufacturers when seeking support for
relatively old machines.
I have to agree that Dell is the best on supporting their full range of
installed equipment, followed closely by IBM (although FINDING the info is
sometimes very frustrating). Compaq is also frustrating at times when seeking
info on their peripherals.
Gateway is somewhere out in left field on their own and on any given day
contacting them can range from very rewarding to downright infuriating.
