For those who would, with "support contract":

Linux on a /diminished/ box is quite do-able.
The support contract is WE who get you going,
regardless of OS.

RedHat, Suse and Debian are the best shots,
but then there's the video board(sic).
Slackware's also good, but not so front-end
as the others.

On the IBM's pay close attention to the
 VIDEO chips. NeoMagic(sic) is magic for
the masses...HTH
