Unresolvable mail address

A copy of your message is being returned to you because one or more of
the addresses you specified could not be recognized as addresses that are
understood by, or reachable from, this system.

Typically this means that a UUCP site you are trying to reach does not exist
in the UUCP maps, or that a domain name does not exist in the DNS, and
therefore cannot receive mail.

Please check your addresses for spelling errors, or consult with your local
postmaster or system administrator.

This is an automatic message.

P.S.: In bizarre circumstances you will see the address report below
rewritten as site.dom!user@%s. This happens when your envelope
address looks like user@site.dom, where site.dom is not a valid
      hostname.

Hi there,
Ive got Linux (slackware 2.1.1) installed on my TP755CE. Installation
and setup quite easy, and it runs fine....but...X is causing me
trouble.I'd like to solve the problem myself but without extensive
specs on the TP display I don't think I'll be able to get to dot clock
settings in XF86Config correct. I did get X running the other day but
now it refuses so if some kind soul out there has a working XF86Config
file I'd be grateful to see it. I need to configure X for the active
matrix display only, not for any ext monitor. BTW I didn't use any of
Michael Steiners patches, basically because I can't find them...do I
need these to run X on the TP, like I said it ran fine the other day
but that seems to have been a flash in the pan. TIA
Pete

Patches? What patches?

> do I need these to run X on the TP
I didn't install any patch and X works fine

I have a ThinkPad 755C but I think the video hardware is quite the same.
I use the config file I found at
http://peipa.essex.ac.uk/tp-linux/tp-linux.html

BTW does anybody know when Takao Moriyama is going to release the audio
drivers for ThinkPad 750/755?
I wrote to him some time ago but I don't want to bother him too much...

Ciao,

Hi All,

I'm intrested in buying a US-plug in USA or anywhere else to use it in
Netherlands and abroad, because then i could upgrade to 28k8+dvsd (only
us-versions of the telephone plug support the upgrade).
I hate to buy a optional DAA/telephony kit, just to connect to the phone
line (because the telco wants it that way) and to have only 14k4, while
28k8 is possibly in US for free...
If someone of you can deliver a US-plug for a nice price (don't matter
which country from, because i believe such a things will cost <=$50)
please email me.

Thanks in advance.

Hello all,
We recently 'discovered' an older 755C (we are using Cx's), and I have hit a
little snag. I have loaded Windows 95 on it (please no comments from the
peanut gallery), and it works perfect. Now we put it in a docking station
(Dock2), and we want to be able to close the lid and have the system not go
into suspend mode. The old PS2 commands won't work in 95. Does anyone have
any suggestions?

Get the TP Utilities disk from http://www.pcco.ibm.com/ in the Thinkpad
section. Do the install and follow the directions. Then after install,
bring
up the power settings and check the box that says to "Don't suspend when the
lid is closed" or something similar. Should work like a champ. To bad
Wind95
won't ...

Have you thought of OS/2 Warp ??? It'll run a lot better on the 'C' than
Wind95. The MS junk sorta gets lost without it's PNP ....

TP'ers:

Does anyone have a Sony PRD-150 working with a 755 (DOS/3.1)? The
PRD-150 doesn't see SS/CS of IBM's (updated) PCMCIA drivers and the
Sony's PCMCIA drivers cause havoc.

Please respond directly and I'll summarize. Thanks.

Rick
