The Software CineMaster driver is an
OEM software DVD decoder and DVD Player developed by Ravisent. Since the software is an OEM product it is only possible to get it with another product which it is included with. If you find a version on the Internet it is probably an illegal version. ATI, Compaq, Dell, ELSA, Gateway, HP, Matrox and Sony has licensed Software CineMaster. Some of them are including the DVD Player and others have created a custom player application that uses the engine. Software CineMaster 99 can be bought for $49.95 here. A Windows 2000/Windows Me update for earlier versions is available for $29.95 here. Ravisent also have a hardware decoder card, called Hardware CineMaster, that is using the same DVD Player application. This card has been discontinued. The player for Software CineMaster has recently been renamed to CinePlayer. Ravisent was aquired by Axeda in 2002. Sonic has licensed the software version of CineMaster (now called Sonic CinePlayer 1.5) from Axeda. Both CineMaster 99 and CinePlayer 1.5 can be bought from Sonic. Known versions
